VIDEO vs LIGHTED KEYBOARDS

A member  sent me a PM about some video lessons .....

Am going to answer a little more in full here what it made me think of .

First of all VIDEO LESSONS always bring up a subject on its own - to read or to play by memory ? Thats a subject on its own - personally I think some of both

Now Im going to talk only about playng by memory only
On video one can see :

WHICH FINGERS play them- but cant correct you when make mistakes
On lighted keyboard _ cannot see that on new user songs - one can see with prerecorded keyboard songs `_ only the prerecorded songs tell you by voice and finger digital diagram - but cant correct when you make mistakes

A teacher in real time lessons would spend - esp with beginners- a lot of time marking in fingerings tio the score - the lighted keyboards prerecorded songs have advatage that they also show you the fingers note by note on the digital fingering LED screen
On video one can see :

On a LIGHTED KEYBOARD it DOES do that it does that in step 2 leswson function -automatically - waiting for you to play- however long it takes - until you move on- very helpul feature
On a lighted keyboard with REPEAT function one can make a part automatically LOOP
this is like taking the idea of waiting for each note a step further ...a series of notes before it brings you back automatically to rectify mistakes.... very teacher asks you to do this over and over again - ones memory cannot take in everything at once
Can one do this as efficiently on a DVD ? Im not sure how effiently ...?

ON A VIDEO
One cannot add more songs.   
Ona LIGHTED KEYBOARD with USB and either or both of user song memory  or SD cards
Yes -one simply adds midi files to keyboard memory to play = 1000s of midi files -mostly sons but as we are doing here - making  Left hand courses / rock /blues course and many other-
